A young Portuguese cartographer in the 18th century finds new forms of love, war and a wild new world in an expedition into South American heart. His life takes an unexpected turn when he falls in love with a beautiful young woman whose family rules a tribe of Guaicuru Indians. Based on historical fact, this impressive and sometimes shocking revisionist Western is at times reminiscent of Terrence Maliks Pocahontas epic The New World and is dedicated to the Guaicuru, who are portrayed primarily by non-actor descendants of the tribe.
Saturday 09 June @ 5.15pm Salisbury Arts Centre (Cafe & Bar open @ 4.45pm).
Tickets £5. Booking: ONLINE By Phone: 01722 321 744 or on the door. |
